Honey Blade Project

The Honey Blade Project was something that I started in TAFE/Tech school for my animation class.
Honey Blade is a song by hide, the japanese guitarist/singer that I used for my animation class. Because of this, I could never use it to get myself a job, which was fine as it turned out, animation is not my forte.

I asked a friend to translate the song for me and what came back was this dark depressing song about loss. I took it and it's weird 'upbeat' to it and twisted it into the story of the Fury, a maiden of vengence. I took the story as a man who had beaten and abused his wife for many years, who in turn one night, shot him, then herself. As suicide is a sin, she went to hell, but instead of eternal damnation, she was recruited. To 'earn' her way, she would go into the night and avenge those that could not do it for themselves, her codename, Honey Blade.

The video was subpar and I didn't pass that class anyway, but the character stuck and a few years later, I managed to win a monthly online art competition. Each month, the winner would get to present their own character and the rest will have to draw it, get voted, then their character will be up the following month. They had 2 catergories, artistic quality and concept. I won on concept, then it's upto a toss and... I won! So I submitted Honey Blade, and these are what I got :)

... soon enough. The images are kind of on a hard drive that isn't working, but I think I have a fix!
